Description | The reflection moment on the four themes defined for the project Lys river region, from the source to the mouth Phase 1, was the basis for Phase 2. The main objective was the same as in the first phase, but the accent was moved to a deepening and extension of the cross-border tourist cooperation for the Lys river region. In addition, the partners made investments to improve the tourist and recreational infrastructure in the entire Lys river region and to ensure greater consistency. Toerisme Leiestreek and Lys-sans-Frontieres continued their efforts in the field of cross-border area tourist promotion and celebrated 10 years of cooperation the same year that the project “Lys river region, from the source to the mouth” was selected as “Strategic project for the border area France – Wallonie – Vlaanderen”. |
