Description | The proposed project will replace aging sewer pipes in Lytton and add back-up power and a lagoon system to the Lytton Wastewater Treatment Plant, facilitating Lytton’s fire recovery. The lagoon system will improve effluent quality discharged to the Fraser River and would also be able to store and treat wastewater in the event of power disruptions, such as those resulting from the 2021 fire and flood events. The project works include: - replacement of approximately 800m of sewer gravity main; - screening and grit removal upgrades at wastewater treatment plant; - SCADA and back-up power upgrades; - new facultative lagoon treatment system; and, - related works. |
