Description
Description | After a fire destroyed 90% of the Village of Lytton in 2021, including homes and community services that were relied on by residents of the Village and surrounding areas, the community lost its ability to gather, connect, and share together. Now further to its rebuilding efforts, the Village of Lytton will plan, design and construct a community centre, the Lytton Community Hub, across three properties (420, 400, and 320 Fraser Street, Lytton, BC) to re-establish a gathering and common space for all. By combining Nlaka’pamux traditional building knowledge with modern technologies, the Hub will be certified Net Zero, and house Canada’s first Net Zero Public Pool/ Emergency Reservoir, following FireSmart standards. |
