Description | The project aims to improve the M-85 (Fort Street) and Canadian National (CN) Grand Trunk Western (GTW) Railroad crossing in Trenton, Wayne County, Michigan. It includes an environmental review and engineering study to explore alternatives such as building a bridge over the railroad, taking the roadway under the railroad, or maintaining the existing at-grade crossing. The project also involves realigning the North–South Trail 6, installing safety fencing, and improving pedestrian access with sidewalks and shared-use paths. The goal is to enhance safety, connectivity, and reduce train horn noise at the crossing. |
