Description
Description | Generation and reinvestment on promotion and acquisitions of theatrical films for distribution in 2025 and 2026. We plan to acquire rights to one high-profile film and two kids animations in the upcoming film markets (reinvestment in the MG) and release theatrically two stand-out projects Q1-Q2 2026 and one project in Q3 2026 pushing for PVOD/Theatrical synergy (reinvestment in promotion and advertisement costs). M2 Films is a leading independent distribution company releasing films across all exploitation windows and specialising in cross-over films that with a local marketing angel and savvy campaigns can transcend traditional genre and cultural boundaries appealing to a broader audience base. In the last f years, M2 Films has ranked in the top ten of the entire local market share. M2 Films’ recent projects have included acclaimed titles like Anatomy of a Fall, The Worst Person in the World, The Eight Mountains, Corsage, Les Misérables along with broad, mainstream, and genre films: Green Book, Talk To Me, Gunpowder Milkshake, as well as kids' animation Pil's Adventure, Terra Willy, Mune and a family adventure King. We aim to reinforce our capability to maximize the awareness, exposure, and potential of European non-national films in a landscape that has been recently drastically reshaped after the global expansion of streaming platforms and changes caused by the pandemic. While sustaining an old window sequence seems impossible and counter-effective, we’ve carried on to incorporate the digital/on-demand window as an extension of the theatrical component rather than its replacement and intend to capitalize on the theatrical context that might get overlooked by streaming giants and major studios. Within the project, we plan to acquire stand-out European non-national productions and high-profile family-targeting movies during upcoming key markets; and 25-30% of the total budget will be allocated towards two theatrical/digital releases. |
