Description
Description | The project will eliminate/minimize the risk of interrupting ventilation systems and therefore, increase outdoor air intake and/or increase air cleaning. The MAB/Mackay Rehabilitation Centre is an ambulatory center serving a young clientele with physical disabilities. It is served by several ventilation systems, all powered by a common thermal plant for both steam and hot water. However, this plant is in an advanced state of disrepair which requires, at this stage, a major intervention to replace the boilers and all related systems. Indeed, in the event of a shutdown of the plant (already experienced), all ventilation systems are stopped due to the lack of steam supply (heating and humidity) or hot water with the direct consequence of reducing or even eliminating all air changes in the building. This project is therefore directly related to our ventilation system and will ensure the safe operation of the ventilation system, a better quality of steam (air humidification) but especially to eliminate the risks associated with service breakdowns of this old equipment. This project would be complementary to the modernization of the cold production for these systems (chilled water) which was completed a few years ago. |
