Description

This project involves the improvement and expansion of the water supply and sanitary sewage system in Macapa city, state of Amapa, Brazil. The sponsor for this initiative is the Concessionária de Saneamento do Amapá SPE S.A. (CSA), fully-owned subsidiary of the Brazilian utility group Equatorial Energia. The project's objectives include enhancing the urban water supply and sanitation coverage, minimizing distribution losses, and enhancing the consistency of water supply in Macapá, Amapá, benefiting 522,357 residents. Additionally, it aims to facilitate the concession fee payment for the regionalized provision of public water supply and sanitation services across the 16 municipalities in the state of Amapá, catering to a population of 753,000 inhabitants. The total project cost is $195m (R$955m) and it was secured by the sponsor with a green debenture emission.
