Description	Brookfield-controlled BRK Ambiental has won the auction for the concession of water and sanitation services in the Brazilian metropolitan region of Maceió, in Alagoas state. The concession comprises water distribution and sewage connection and collection in 13 municipalities, benefiting 1.5 million people. BRK Ambienta is the project sponsor, working through its SPV - BRK Ambiental - Região Metropolitana de Maceió S.A. Total project value is BRL 2,250m ($ 439m) and it was provided via sponsor equity BRL 450m ($ 87.87m) and a BRL 1,800m ($ 351.47m) issue of debentures. Santander, Itau BBA, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil and Banco Safra acted as placement agents on the 3-year debentures.
