Description | The Machado Wastewater Treatment Facility in San Miguel, California, is undergoing a major upgrade to more than double its treatment capacity from 200,000 gallons per day to 500,000 gallons per day. The upgrade includes transitioning from a pond system to a Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) treatment process, adding new percolation beds, influent and effluent holding ponds, a maintenance building, storage yard, operations building, and upgrading electrical and control infrastructure. The project is planned in two phases and aims to support population growth and improve treatment capabilities including recycled water production. |
