Description
Description | The project’s ambition is to contribute to release the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for civic purposes by using arts for engaging communities – and in particular teenagers - around issues of their interest, in line with the priority on e-democracy and innovative tools for democracy. Its specific objectives are to increase teenagers’ engagement and participation; increase awareness on AI and its potential for participation; raise attention of policy makers on AI as a driver of participation, if combined with arts. These objectives will be achieved by involving 560 citizens (500 of which teenagers) in national events in 4 countries - Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands - in which they will be engaged to debate on topics of interest of their communities (sustainability, technology and disinformation). All the events will use a common methodology combining AI and Arts: AI-based tools and artistic performances will be used to stimulate the debate and provoke visionary scenarios. During the events, the participants will not only discuss the proposed topics but they will also make a real-life experience of AI as a tool for participation: they will understand how it works and get familiar with it. The outputs of the events will then be discusses in a second round of national events involving 105 policy-makers in 4 countries. Finally, two international events will gather other 130 among citizens, policy-makers and other stakeholder for co-producing and disseminating the final output of the project: recommendations on the use of AI and arts for participation. |
