Madagascar - Aide humanitaire d’urgence pour la remise à l’état initial des infrastructures sociales endommagées par le passage du cyclone Chedza en 2015

This operation involves a grant of one million US dollars (USD 1,000,000) from the Special Relief Fund to the Republic of Madagascar to address the effects of Cyclone Chedza. The planned interventions complement the efforts of the Government of Madagascar and its partners to assist the population. The activities of this operation will focus on the restoration of infrastructure and the acquisition/rehabilitation of furniture and equipment to ensure access to drinking water and quality health services. They will be carried out in the areas affected by the cyclone in the regions of Moyen-Ouest (Districts of Miandrivazo, Mahabo, Morondava and Belo-sur-Tsiribihina) and Analamanga (Districts of Avaradrano and Antananarivo). Given the urgency and the socio-sanitary risks, the operation will have to be implemented as soon as possible and its total duration should not exceed six (6) months from the date of disbursement of the grant by the Bank.
