Description | The project involved the replacement of two deteriorated bridge superstructures carrying vehicles and pedestrians over the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Orange Line and Commuter Rail. It included repairs to the substructure of each bridge and added bus-only lanes, protected bike lanes, and dedicated sidewalks. New bus lanes were added on Mystic Avenue westbound and Lombardi Street southbound, with upgrades and expansions on Broadway eastbound and the turn lane between Sullivan Station from Mystic Ave. Transit signal priority was installed and activated at key intersections. |
