MAGIC LILLY is an animated series project, 26 x 22 minutes. Enjoying continuous success since the 1990s, initially as a series of books for first time readers, then as a 2D-animation series with 2 seasons co-produced by WDR, ORF and BBC, still being broadcast on KiKa, Germany. In the 2010s three successful feature films were produced, the first two with The Walt Disney Company. With its Spanish partners Influx Animation and Planeta jr., German THE MAGIC LILLY COMPANY has developed the next chapter of one of the most beloved European kids characters and stories and elevated the new 3D-animated series with a contemporary and diverse cast to appeal to global kids and family audiences. Financing from German broadcaster S-RTL and Belgian VRT has been contractually secured, commitments from Spanish TVE and TV3 are in place as well as LOIs from Polish TVP-abc and RTP in Portugal. With DeaPlaneta Entertainment - an established international distributor - actively marketing the new series we are preparing for production. Creative Media Europe‘s contribution will close the gap on the 100% European funding. Set in the enchanting old town of Barcelona LILLY and HECTOR the dragon explore many exciting locations across Europe and in a mysterious magical world. With the help of THE MAGIC BOOK Lilly travels through time and space to find the missing pages of the magical book that contain the most powerful spells. The core values of MAGIC LILLY are to support kids to develop a healthy self esteem and empower them to always „follow their heart“ while mastering the challenges of growing up and develop a confident personality to eventually find their place in the specific social environment they live in. The series is fun an adventurous but also has educational elements that have helped in the past to get kids and parents co-watching the series. With a strong female lead character and the comedic sidekick HECTOR the dragon the show appeals to both girls and boys equally.
