The proposed program aims to support the state in a holistic development of tertiary care and medical education infrastructure and related systems using the sector development program (SDP) modality. The policy actions will support the existing and new medical colleges and tertiary care hospitals to attract and retain well-trained doctors, professors, and other staff to provide quality tertiary care services, and to establish systems to ensure continuous quality improvement for both medical education and tertiary care. These are essential to achieve the intended purposes as well as sustainability of the investment in medical colleges and hospital infrastructure.
