This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project involves construction of Head Regulator on left bank of the Mahendratanaya river at Chapara village of Meliaputti Mandal in Srikakulam district. The water is diverted through the Head Regulator into a diversion channel designed for 1200 Cusecs which runs for a length of 13.60 Km and flows into a new reservoir proposed at Regulapadu to irrigate an ayacut of 24,600 Acres through two canals. |
