Maimonides Children's Emergency Department Expansion

completed

The project involves the renovation and expansion of Brooklyn's only dedicated children's Emergency Department at Maimonides Children's Hospital. The new facility is four times larger than the previous one, with 18,650 square feet, 34 treatment rooms, and enhanced resuscitation, triage, and imaging capabilities including x-ray, ultrasound, and CT for rapid diagnosis and treatment of emergent illnesses and trauma. The design focuses on pediatric-specific needs, privacy, and a welcoming environment for children and families.
