Description

Description

The legislative framework in EU and Member States evolves, along with the mobility of EU citizens and the information and technological needs. Relying on an established network of national interlocutors covering 22 Member States and that is being enlarging to the CNUE’s Observing Members (FYROM, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey), the M-ENN project will continue provide EU civil law notaries with legal information, networking opportunities, competent opinions, as well as practical tools to overcome procedural difficulties in cross-border cases. In 2019, M-ENN aims at: maintaining its tools in order to continue being a valid instrument for judicial cooperation and correct application of the EU law; Increasing direct and virtual information exchange among notaries and national interlocutors and reinforcing coordination with similar initiatives in the EU legal field; improving accessibility by providing components in all languages and compatibility with assistive technologies; improving usability of the ENN tools by making use of the latest software opportunities; updating CNUE’s various multilingual information resources on application of EU and foreign law to the benefit of practitioners and citizens. A new information database will be created to facilitate the cross-border action of companies by helping practitioners understand the law on representation of a company in the different EU countries. Besides, 2 interlocutors meetings and 2 workshops on cross-border notarial practice will be organised each year, expecting the participation of minimum 50 notaries per event. Potentially all EU notaries (40,000) will benefit from the ENN platform: M-ENN will result into more notaries using its tools in their daily practice in order to correctly apply the EU and foreign law. These activities will be backed by an intense communication effort envisaging activities such as participation to events, CNUE networks’ newsletters, articles, as well as additional communication tools.
