Description | Maintenance Depots are the central hub of the winter maintenance program. They house the staff and garage bays in order to do minor maintenance of the snow removal assets. Many of the infrastructure is past their useful life and are in disrepair. Projects include site upgrades, hazardous materials removals, new metal cladding, doors, windows, roofing, code compliance upgrades, ventilation, heating, plumbing, electrical, etc. To confirm the hazardous materials are related to the building materials, such as asbestos, lead, mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB’s). All work is done on the building structure only, no site work or new structures. |
