Major Cleaning and Repainting including Operational Improvements of Mildmay Water Tower to ensure long term functionality

The project will involve a major cleaning and repainting of the Mildmay Water tower to ensure the long term operations of the water tower are not affected. As the only water tower in Village of Mildmay, this work is required to ensure that the Village has safe reliable drinking water. The tower also provides water pressure to ensure that there are adequate fire flows within the Village. If this work is not undertaken, the corrosion will continue to get worse and spread at an increased rate. This work needs to be undertaken immediately to stop the spread of the corrosion. If it is not stopped it will lead to more costly repairs and downtime for repairs which will result in the approximately 1100 residents not having access to drinking water or fire protection. The operational improvements will improve access and security to better protect the village’s potable water supply.
