Major League Baseball Expansion Franchise in Vancouver

planned

The City of Vancouver plans to initiate a bidding process to attract a Major League Baseball (MLB) expansion franchise. The project involves securing a modern MLB stadium, with prospective bidders expected to propose solutions for the stadium, which is the most complex and expensive component. The city faces challenges such as land availability and cost due to geographic constraints and existing high-density developments. The project aims to capitalize on a narrow window of opportunity as MLB intends to add two franchises before the end of the decade.
