Makari gad hydro plant

The projects comprises the construction and operation of a 10-MW hydro power plant in Api Himal Rural Municipality of Darchula District. The project is promoted by Makari gad Hydropower Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture of LTL Group and Lanka Ventures with 55% and 45%, respectively. This is a greenfield project initiated on a Build Operate Transfer basis. The annual energy production capacity of the Project is 70 GWh and will be evacuated by constructing a 27 km long 33 kv transmission line to the Balanch 132kV sub-station of Nepal Electricity Authority. The promoters of the project will invest 30% ($6.4 million) of the project cost while remainder of 70% ($15 million) is funded by a consortium of banks. The consortium includes Sanima Bank and participating Banks Nepal Credit and Commercial Bank and Century Bank . Project company has signed a loan facility agreement for Rs. 1.475 billion ($15 million).
