Description | The Makassar Waste-to-Energy (WtE) project in Indonesia has a daily waste treatment capacity of 1,300 tons and includes coordinated treatment of landfill mining. The project is expected to generate 209 million kWh of electricity annually. SUS Environment won the bid in early 2024 and signed a Cooperation Agreement with Makassar City government in September 2024. The project is currently in the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiation phase, with construction planned to start within 2025 and Commercial Operation Date (COD) targeted by the end of 2027. |
