Description | The MakeDox International Creative Documentary Film Festival's XVI and XVII editions will take place from August 21th to 28th, 2025, and from August 20th to 27th, 2026, respectively. Being the first and only festival in our country dedicated to creative documentary films, MakeDox has a pioneering mission to support the creation and promotion of documentaries with high aesthetic and moral values and strong author’s signature. The festival's trademark is the Onion, representing our programming direction towards complex, multi-layered, and creative storytelling. Created by a group of passionate film professionals and enthusiasts, MakeDox has become a nationally and internationally recognized film event over the past fifteen years. Its distinctive programming taste has brought many European documentaries to the forefront before they were launched in festival circuits and awarded at some of the world's most influential festivals. The festival will showcase 65-75 creative documentary films, primarily from Europe, during its 8-day run. Professional events will focus on the development of creative documentary films. The Winter MakeDox editions will be held after each festival edition, in November-December, both in 2025 and 2026. |
