The Malawi IC Program will assist the Government of Malawi to address the policy, institutional, legal and regulatory constraints in the lifecycle of a business. The reforms will improve the investment climate, ensure greater security for commercial transactions, substantially improve access to finance, and inspire greater confidence in Malawi as an investment destination. The program is a joint effort of IFC and WB, in consultation with GoM, DPs and other stakeholders. Based on the ongoing consultations with relevant stakeholders, the program will focus on strengthening Doing Business reforms and accelerating action on existing reforms. Additionally, the program will strengthen the capacity of key institutions such as the Registrar General's department and equip them to adequately play the significant role they play in the life cycle of a business.
