Description | Excellon Resources is advancing the restart of the fully permitted, past-producing Mallay Silver Mine in Peru. The project involves mine rehabilitation of underground levels, leveraging a fully permitted 600 tonne-per-day processing facility with historical investment of over US$115 million. The objective is to return the mine to nameplate capacity of 600 TPD by Q2 2026. Rehabilitation is progressing well with an experienced underground mining contractor advancing 70-80 metres per day. An updated NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate is underway to support detailed scheduling and planning for the restart. The project also includes in-mine exploration opportunities to extend the mineral resource base and support a robust evaluation of restart potential. |
