Description | The Second Managua Water Supply Project consists of: (a) construction of water wells with an aggregate yield of about 17 million gallons per day (including stand-by capacity); (b) construction of new booster pumping stations with a combined capacity of about 56 million gallons per day; (c) construction of two service reservoirs, about 60 km of transmission mains and about 45 km of distribution pipelines; (d) installation of about 9,400 service connections; (e) construction of a new administration building; (f) acquisition of mobile construction equipment for water system maintenance and expansion; and (g) review and improvement of the Empresa's operation, with the assistance of management consultants. |
