Description | The Manah-1 Solar IPP project in Oman is a flagship solar power project under the Oman Vision 2040 blueprint. It is designed to produce 1.5 billion kWh annually, reducing CO2 emissions by 780,000 tonnes, equivalent to removing 170,000 gasoline-powered cars from the roads. Shanghai Electric provided end-to-end solutions including design, planning, procurement, construction, and long-term operation and maintenance. The project adopted a unique dual-track approach with France's EDF to meet technical requirements and achieved early completion and successful grid connection. |
