Description | "This project involves Phase 1 of the construction, operation, and maintenance of water distribution and sewage collection and treatment services in Manaus, a city in the Amazonas state of Brazil. The initiative is sponsored by Manaus Ambiental S.A., also known as Águas de Manaus, a Brazilian water and sewerage operator. The project aims to expand sewage collection and treatment to approximately 31,000 new connections annually while maintaining universal access to water by adding around 7,000 new connections per year to accommodate population growth, including support for vulnerable populations. The total project cost is $124 million (R$ 750 million), financed through a loan from IDB Invest.
