The project includes a master plan for the Trafford Wharfside project, aiming to create a vibrant and transformational district with 48,000 local jobs and 15,000 new homes, adding £7.3bn per annum to the UK economy. The new stadium site is located between Wharfside Way, Europa Way, and John Gilbert Way, acquired from Indurent, a UK-based industrial and logistics real-estate company owned by Blackstone. The existing Old Trafford stadium's future is undecided, allowing United to continue playing there during construction. |
