Mandya Industrial Hub with ARAI Centre

Karnataka plans to develop a large industrial hub in Mandya district integrating a proposed Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) centre to boost the auto ancillary ecosystem. The project aims to attract investment, expand manufacturing, and create jobs in the region. The proposal is at a preliminary stage, with the Union government indicating interest in establishing an ARAI facility. The state is exploring developing a broader industrial ecosystem over at least 500 acres by integrating the ARAI facility into a larger hub. Land parcels under consideration include 105 acres near Basaralu and around 425 acres near Bellur along the Bengaluru–Mangaluru national highway, with compensation issues pending. Another suggestion is to locate the hub near the Tubinakere industrial area on the border of Pandavapura and Mandya taluks.
