"This mini-slate is the roadmap of how we plan to extend our company within the coming 2-3 years. With our team of 6 people, we’ll continue creating new content according to our believes, original films with a social angle cause, #documentarymatter. In the next three years, Andra Popescu director of the feature documentary Bright Future, will play with archives and stories of the `89 and youth movements, Ruxandra Gubernat director of the TV series Imaginary Youth will develop a coming-of-age series, where we'll be able to see spectacular change in our teen protagonists. Further, Lina Vdovii and Radu Ciorniciuc will address sensitive social and civil issues through a powerful and personal story, carving the cinematic documentary Father. All 3 projects are meant to be co-productions; Bright Future with South Korea (Keumyoil Film already received a development support) and with Germany; Imaginary Youth with Italy and HBO Europe, and Father a co-production with HBO Europe, with Italy and with Republic of Moldavia (and maybe Germany too). We take our time to develop projects to their fullest potential. Manifest Film will continue to be a creative platform for emerging young talents. Directors Rachel Close and Niki Harman, will direct the short documentary One of Us, a poetic story of one adoptive child from Romania who's coming to search for her biological relatives. By producing both feature length documentaries and series, we are increasing our audience and our presence in the national and international film market. We are happy and eager to take on the challenges of re-thinking business models whether it’s new ways of approaching German co-productions, trying to conquer market shares from Asia or US media entities, optimizing already established collaborations or challenging the formats, that we are used to seeing on festivals, cinemas and also linear TV and streaming services."
