Manufacturing of Metallic Container

This profile envisages the establishment of a plant for the production of 14,000 units of metallic containers per annum of which 12,000 units with capacity of 1 cu.m. tank for household water storage and 2,000 units with capacity of 13,000 liter for transportation of fuel and water. The total Investment Cost for the project is estimated to be 400,000 USD. Metallic container is a product of fabrication that consists of a metal cutting, forming and joining process used for household water storage and for transportation of fuel and water. The present demand for metallic containers in the container is met through import and domestic production, with (2022 figure) the unsatisfied demand for metallic containers is estimated at 3,796 tons. The proposed location of the envisaged plant is in Gelan town which is considered to be the best location for the envisaged metal container manufacturing plant followed by Dukem and Adama respectively. The characteristics of the plant site strongly influence the technical and economic feasibility of the project and the site itself has to be selected with ut-most care using certain site selection criteria.
