Description

On March 27, 1992, National Petrochemical (Public) Company (NPC) joined with Paktank International B.V. (PTI) of the Netherlands to establish Thai Tank Terminal Limited (TTT). The partially private NPC holds 51% of equity whereas PTI has 49%. TTT won the Industrial Estate Authority-initiated project for concession of construction and management of the liquid bulk terminal and tank farms which serve as a center for storage and distribution of liquid chemical substances used by manufactories located at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate and its vicinities. A $48 million two-tranche, limited-recourse project financing deal for Thai Tank Terminal was syndicated by ABN AMRO Bank. The funds will be used to finance the construction of Phases II and III of the tank terminal facilities at the Map Ta Phut port. The $23 million tranche A, for Phase II, carries a maturity of eight years with an average life of 4.8 years. The $25 million tranche B, for phase III, carries a maturity of nine years with an average life of six years. The terminal commenced operation in Jund 1996. None None
