Description

TRANSFORMING and SCALING the Marché du Film for an Innovative, Sustainable, and Impactful Future The Marché du Film, the world’s largest film market of Cannes Film Festival, annually gathers over 15,000 professionals from 140 countries. The MDF361 project aims to boost innovation, advance sustainability and amplify impact to address the evolving needs of the industry while reinforcing Europe’s leadership. Boosting Innovation Innovation is at the core of MDF’s evolution, transforming governance, programs and digital services. The “Continuous Innovation Process” and “Program Lab” will refine core services and pilot new concepts. Cannes NEXT, MDF’s innovation program, will introduce an ambitious “Innovation Hub” for live demos, workshops and tech showcases, along with the “Innovation Lab”, a dedicated training module on emerging technologies. Cinando’s development will leverage data to provide business intelligence services. Driving Sustainability MDF is on track to achieve ISO certification by 2025, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. Key initiatives include accessibility tools, childcare services and the impACT program, which integrates sustainability, diversity and inclusion into the MDF’s framework. These efforts position MDF as a socially responsible industry leader. Maximizing Impact MDF will scale up initiatives like Investors Circle and Cannes NEXT to foster private investment and technological progress. Programs such as Cannes Makers, impACT Lab and La Résidence will continue empowering the next generation. Ventana Sur, Latin America’s largest audiovisual market, shows MDF’s capacity to connect European professionals with global markets. The expanded Cinando platform will extend its reach to the TV and immersive sectors, and to tailored communities. MDF361 aligns with MEDIA’s goals to nurture talent, foster private investment, and promote European works’ international circulation, reinforcing MDF’s role as an industry cornerstone.
