The sponsors signed a 20-year PPA with the state-owned company ENEE. The sponsor created the special purpose company Compania Energia Solar Centroamericana S.A. de C.V. to manage the project. Investment was estimated at US$ 90 million. The American company Trina Solar was responsible for the equipment supply, while the Spanish Group Ortiz was granted the EPC and O&M contracts. Construction works commenced in 2014, while operations begun in June 2015. |
