Description | Information EDEE[Dev] has come up with Marhoura Diesel Locomotive Factory Project - Government obligations with a ticket size of 208.54 INR Crores. This project in Railway Rolling Stock sub-sector involves The current status of the project is COD and is being developed through the PPP route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project A Procurement-cum-Maintenance Agreement [PCMA] was signed on 30.11.2015 between Ministry of Railways and GE Diesel Locomotive Pvt. Ltd [now Wabtec Locomotive Pvt. Ltd], a joint venture of Ministry of Railways and GE Global Sourcing India Pvt. Ltd. for setting up Diesel Locomotive Factory at Marhowra, Saran/Bihar, supply of 1000 nos Diesel Locomotives of 4500/6000 HP and setting up maintenance depots at Roza & Gandhidham for maintenance of these locomotives. As Government obligations Indian Railways will provide land, rail connectivity and road connectivity to the Factory and Maintenance Depots. Government obligations have been provided and project completed. |
