Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida, has transformed its campus facilities to become one of the world's first botanical garden complexes to be energy net positive. The project includes the Morganroth Family Living Energy Access Facility (LEAF), the Jean Goldstein Welcome Center, and the Steinwachs Family Plant Research Center. It features a 877 kW DC rooftop solar photovoltaic array projected to generate 5% more energy annually than the campus consumes, flood-resilient design to protect collections, and sustainable building systems designed to reduce energy demand while supporting research, hospitality, and visitor spaces.
