Description	In November 1997, Aguas de Marilia was awarded a 20 year contract to rehabilitate, expand and operate the water and sewerage services of Marilia in the State of Sao Paulo. Aguas de Marilia was to provide water and sewerage services to the municipality of Marilia with a population of 180,000. Aguas de Marilia Ltda. is a specific purpose vehicle (SPE –Sociedade de Propósito Especifico) comprised by three Brazilian companies: Hidrogesp, Telar Engenharia e Comércio Ltda., and Paineira. The total committed investment over the life of the concession was estimated at US$3.5 million (3.88 million reais). The Aguas de Marilia consortium began construction works in December 1997 and started operating services in July 1999. The water pump system had a 400 thousand liters per hour capacity. None None
