The project aims to restore part of the original Oglethorpe Plan by opening up land for six new lots, including four larger tything lots and two trust lots, to recreate the original town plan structure. The demolition will be gentle to protect the neighboring Johnny Mercer Theatre, with a temporary stucco façade constructed on the theater's south side during the process. Renovation of the theater is planned with public engagement expected next year. |
