Description

Description

The project will replace a deteriorating and undersized wastewater main, rehabilitate water transmission pipes and improve stormwater management in South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario. The work will involve the replacement of: 800 metres of wastewater main, including valves and service laterals; 800 metres of water transmission pipes; 725 metres of stormwater transmission pipes; and 24 manhole catchbasins. In addition, 21 ditch inlet catchbasins will be installed and 800 metres of roadway rehabilitated on Mary Street from Claude Street to East of Cordingley Crescent with new asphalt, curb and gutter, sidewalks and streetlighting. The project will reduce the risks of failing services and sewage inflows to the pumping station, improve drainage to stormwater sewers, reduce the risk of backflow into basements, and ensure the continued delivery of clean, safe water to residents and for fire suppression.
