Description | The Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is a $378 million construction initiative aimed at improving travel along a busy 13-mile corridor in southern Nevada, from Harry Reid International Airport to the medical district near Charleston and I-15. The project includes shared bus-bike lanes, wider sidewalks, additional lighting, upgraded crosswalks, more trees for shade, new passenger shelters, and new pavement. Construction started in Summer 2024 and is expected to be completed by Summer 2026. Paving on the stretch outside Carson Kitchen is scheduled for October 30-31, 2025, with significant work expected to be complete by Thanksgiving. |
