Description | Montenegro's state-controlled power producer EPCG has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi-based renewable energy company Masdar to establish a 50/50 joint venture company to develop green energy projects in Montenegro. The joint company will be based in Niksic and will develop and manage solar photovoltaic, wind, hydro energy, reversible hydropower plants, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid solutions projects. The collaboration aims to meet Montenegro's electricity needs and enable power exports to the Western Balkans and southern Europe, including via Montenegro's undersea power cable link with Italy. |
