Description
Description | Mastering AI for European Film Professionals (MAIEFP) is a high-level, five-module training programme designed to equip 24 European film professionals with the skills needed to future-proof their creative and business practices using AI. Targeting professionals both above and below the line, MAIEFP supports the development of new competences, fosters transnational collaboration, and promotes a cooperative and ethical approach to digital innovation. Through three in-person modules and two online sessions, participants will engage in a dynamic mix of lectures, workshops, discussions, case studies, and networking. The course culminates in the presentation of each participant’s personal AI-driven project during the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn 2026. MAIEFP fosters a holistic understanding of AI across creative, technical, legal, and strategic domains. Participants explore how AI can reshape scriptwriting, production design, editing, sound, marketing, and distribution—stimulating cross-disciplinary collaboration and creative experimentation. The programme addresses the entire audiovisual value chain, including: Creative storytelling (e.g. generative writing, visual prototyping) Production and post-production (e.g. AI-assisted editing, virtual production) Marketing and distribution (e.g. data-driven audience analysis, AI-generated content) By developing tailored projects in their own fields, participants directly apply tools and insights to their practice. Ethical and legal considerations are a core part of the curriculum, encouraging responsible and sustainable use of technology. MAIEFP ultimately enhances competitiveness, promotes innovation, and strengthens the European audiovisual sector’s capacity to adapt to market developments and digital transformation. |
