Description	EllaLink and the Ministère de la Transformation Numérique et de la Modernisation de l’Administration (MTNMA) of Mauritania have signed a contract for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a second international submarine cable link directly connecting Mauritania to Madrid, Spain. The project includes the construction of a Cable Landing Station in Nouadhibou and a 500+ km branch connected to the existing EllaLink subsea cable system. Alcatel Submarine Networks is selected to build the subsea section with two fibre pairs and advanced optical technologies. The infrastructure is projected to be ready for service early 2027, delivering an initial 200Gbps low latency direct circuit between Nouadhibou and Madrid.
