Mauritanie - Multi-sector Institutional Support Project (PAIM)

This intervention is related to the Multi-sector Institutional Support Project (PAIM). It’s in line with the Government’s efforts to modernise Public Administration and build national capacities to formulate and implement general and sector development strategies. The PAIM is expected to build the capacities of the Technical Departments of six Ministries, namely: Ministry of Economic Affairs and Development, Ministry of Rural Development and the Environment, Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Health and Social Action, and lastly the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The project comprises four components, in particular: (i) strengthening of capacities in project planning, implementation and monitoring; (ii) strengthening of the information system and improvement of the system of consultation; (iii) roll-out of the Public Investment Planning and Monitoring System in Mauritania (SYPSIM); and (iv) Project management support.
