Description | We have designed and are presently building an integrated Light Rail-based Urban Transit System for Metro Express Limited that is owned by the Government of Mauritius. The 26-km route will connect the capital city of Port Louis and Curepipe with 19 stations, 2 state-of-the-art elevated stations, 3 major bus interchanges, viaducts & bridges. We have partnered world majors in LRT (Light Rail Transit) to supply the rolling stock, construct the depots and source the maintenance equipment. This ‘Track to Train’ transit project is being led by Railway Business of the Transportation Infrastructure vertical. 14.76 Km stretch connecting the capital to the first two cities (Rose-Hill and Quatre-Bornes) is already operational with an astonishing success of already 6.5 million tickets sold as at March 2022. |
