Description | Limits: Max Gillis Blvd: Leon Rd to Winchester Rd Limits: Leon Rd: Clinton Keith Rd to Baxter/Jean Nicholas Rd Length: Approximately 8,117 feet combined (1.54 Miles) District: 3 Community: French Valley The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 6,047 feet of Leon Rd from Clinton Keith Rd to Baxter/Jean Nicholas Rd and 2,070 feet of Max Gilliss Blvd from Leon Rd to Winchester Rd. Max Gilliss Blvd and Leon Rd are both classified in the County of Riverside’s General Plan as a Secondary Road (100’ ROW). Max Gilliss Blvd is a four-lane road and currently ranges from 76 feet to 98 feet wide with curb and gutter throughout the length of the project. Leon Rd is a four-lane road and currently ranges from 76 feet to 98 feet wide with curb and gutter throughout the length of the project. The proposed project will include the removal of asphalt concrete (AC) surface on the roadway followed by paving back with rubberized hot mix asphalt (RHMA). The proposed project will also include: · Reconstruction of curb, gutter, and spandrels, sidewalk segments due to lifting and under sidewalk drains · Reconstruction of curb ramps and modification of traffic signals to comply with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards. · Utility adjustments · Re-striping of roadway, including pavement markers/reflectors. · Salvage, removal, and installation of new signs · Proposed road work will also be done within the City of Murrieta limits No right-of-way Permits to Enter and Construct (PEC), or Temporary Construction Easements (TCE) will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will be within the existing footprint of the roadway. |
