Description | The project consists of one new groundwater supply well and ancillary components, including approximately 100 metres of water pipes, for the Mayo Water Treatment Plant (WTP) wellfield. Currently, the Mayo WTP wellfield includes three production wells, with only one well able to produce sufficient groundwater yield to meet demand. The wellfield is subjected to periods of low water levels during the spring reducing the capacity of the main production well. This project will help ensure that the wellfield can meet peak water demand moving forward. The project will result in increased access to potable water in the Mayo community. |
