Regional Potable Water Project: The main objective of the project is to address ongoing non-compliances in the existing treatment systems for the communities of McLean, Qu’Appelle, and Edgeley as well as expand the number of residents who can access potable water in the region. The project will provide increased access to potable water that complies with provincial drinking water regulations for all three (3) communities as well as rural residents within the RM of South Qu’Appelle. The project scope involves the expansion of an existing wellfield, construction of a new water treatment plant, construction of approximately 35 km of regional waterline pipelines, and upgrades at each connection point, and all associated pumping, mechanical, electrical, and structural upgrades. The output of the project is a new reliable potable water production and supply system to service three (3) communities as well as rural residents.
