Description | The McMurtre Battery Energy Storage System is a 175 megawatt (MW) or 350 megawatt-hour (MWh) energy storage project near Dallas, Texas. It is located within the ERCOT North market, a fast-growing power demand zone in the US. The project has an executed small generator interconnection agreement and full site control, reducing construction risks. Energy Vault will deploy its latest B-VAULT AC Technology Platform 3 at the site, engineered for rapid deployment and high availability in ERCOT grid conditions. Commercial operations are anticipated to commence by December 2027, with the Notice to Proceed expected in Q4 2026. Once ready to build, the project will be contributed to Energy Vault's Asset Vault investment platform for owning and operating storage assets globally. |
